Questing News From The Spiral
The journey through Monquista is finally complete. I’m so glad too. There’s something about those monkey folk that the crew and I simply do not like at all. Most of them can’t be trusted and the rest, well..let’s say a bath would be a major improvement!
Along the way we picked up a few new exciting things. We received a package from KingsIsle. Seems the crown was handing out resents to folk of the realm and received a lovely jug of yum! That stuff is amazingly wonderful stuff.
And we found the cutest little yellow Marshadillow. Her name is Princess Hunter and she sure has been great in a fight. That hard shell of hers can surely pack a powerful punch!
I only wish we could drop the other pets off at the house for a much needed rest. They surely deserve it. And I really need to free up some space in the backpack. It does get kind of heavy. I’m also afraid one day I might accidentally sell one of them too.
Anyway, we reached the Abbey and conferred with Queen Anna. She was rather uppity but at least we received the next clue. The Abbot suggested we speak with Queen Catherine at the Summer Palace. That might be a nice place to visit, if we didn’t have to go through the sewer to get there. Talk about stinky.
From there we were off to La Mancha. Now this was a funny place. Seems there’s a Monkey there who turned himself into a Donkey. Hahaha! As funny as he was, we did learn the story of the Monkey’s Paw and why these creatures want it so badly. There’s a good lesson in “be careful what you wish for…you might get it”. Sometimes, wishes aren’t what you expect them to be.
Once again however, we’re sent to the sewers. This time underneath Monquista City, to find the entrance to the royal Library. Thankfully we made it through, but it took some effort and I reached a new level of experience as well. I’m now a Level 16 Witchdoctor! And thanks to Valdima I have a new spell in my arsenal too.
The Mutineer’s Grasp has been a wonderful addition to battle. I think we’re going to need it in Valencia.
Right now we have a few side quests to finish up. And we need to find Fin again. This time he’s teamed up with the Armada. I don’t think our old friend knows what he’s gotten himself into. The Armada has but one mission, to rule all and he can’t be ruled. But he thinks he’s tricking them and making a good deal for himself.
It will be sad to learn that the Armada has double crossed Fin. He’s a big ole blow hard, but he’s still kind of loveable. I feel sorry for him. Perhaps the crew and I can talk some sense into him. We’re off to find him and try anyway.
