News – Henchmen Are Here!

New To The Crown Shop

They’re here! Need a little extra help in battle? Now you can hire a henchman or two!

Helpful Pirate Henchmen from all around The Spiral are now available to assist you in battle! If you find yourself in a tough fight and in need of an extra hand, you’ll now be able to use Crowns to hire one of the several Henchmen of every class from level 15 to 65.

Much like Wizard101 you can hire a henchman to help you and your crew at anytime during a battle. Unlike Wizard101, you’ll be able to control these henchmen as if they were a member of your crew.

And what’s better, when you enter the Crown Shop and select the Henchman, your planning clock will restart. So you have more time to plan who goes where and who gets attacked.

Remember henchmen are in the Crown Shop. So use them wisely so you don’t waste your crowns.

The World Of Western Critters

Welcome to western world of Cool Ranch. With big open skies and a lot of friendly folk. You’ll find a fair number of Chickens, Roosters, Turkeys, Ducks, Horses, Bulls, Frogerales and More! Each willing to help you out on your quests. And they’ll be asking for a little of your help too.

But don’t forget you’re coming to find Merriweather Clark and another piece of Marco Pollo’s map. But Clark has gone missing. Probably the work of the Armada. Watch your back and be on the look out for anyone who might be able to help you in this Big Sky country!

There are two parts to Cool Ranch the way I see it. Both are pretty long and involved. The first part ends when you take on the Duck of Death and defeat him. That gets you closer to the map, but you still need information about Captain Blood and what he has done with it. And that continues in Cool Ranch Part II.

This is a HUGE area so expect on spending some time here. when you think you’re moving on, you’ll open some new areas and still be fighting. Continue reading →

Questing News From The Spiral

The crew and I are taking a much needed rest this evening. Our feet firmly planted on the beach, sipping well aged Yum with a wonderful scent of barbeque waffling through the air.

We completed our mission to Valencia this evening and well deserved rest we have certainly earned! Seems like it took days to get there. The Aragon Skyway is a long way from home. Continue reading →

The Swashbuckler’s Horse Companion

If you choose a Musketeer as your pirate class, you will discover Louis Le Bisque near the start of the game. He’s in the Kracken Tavern Cellar when you first begin your quest to find Gunn’s treasure. Louis will be the one arguing with Ratbeard, when he steals the map and tells his rat gang to “Get ’em boys”.

Questing News From The Spiral

We arrived in the Tierra Primata Skyway to hot breezes and barren landscapes. I didn’t like this place the moment we arrived.

One of the items we acquired before entering the Stormgate was a map of this skyway. Luckily we knew that when we arrived we would come out of the gate right into a location where flocks of Scarakeets like to fly. So we were prepared to avoid them, or to engage in our first battle upon entering this place. Continue reading →
