Companion Promotion – Fin Dorsal

Fin Dorsal-Cutthroat Pirate Companion

As you work your way through quests in the game, you’ll be able to unlock new companions in the Crown Shop. The Badge “Best Chum” unlocks the purchase availability for your own version of Fin Dorsal. I love him. He’s my favorite character in the game.

You can also visit our Companion Guide to find a list of all the companions available to each Pirate class within the game through questing and a few through a Crown Shop purchase. Or you can return to our Epic Promotion Guides.

When you first meet Fin he is a Cutthroat Pirate. You can learn much more about his abilities and skills from Pirate101 Central.

As you level up your companions they will occasionally reach epic promotion opportunities. Those companions that you purchase from the Crown Shop are easy to promote, you simply have to pay a promotion fee with Gold. Fin’s first epic promotion occurs when he is promoted to Level 24.

The Rat Brigand Companion

If your parents were lost in a Storm, the Old Family Friend who served with your Parents long ago is Milo Graytail. He becomes part of your crew with the FrogFather’s blessing and will help you guide your new ship that you pick up in Jonah Town.

When you first meet Milo he is a Swashbuckler Rat Brigand. You can learn much more about his abilities and skills from Pirate101 Central.

As you level up your companions they will occasionally reach epic promotion opportunities. Milo’s first epic promotion occurs when he is promoted to Level 21.

After you applied training points and he reaches this level, he’ll tell you he needs to speak with you. Let’s go to a nearby Tavern so you can talk. Continue reading →

The Pirate101 VisionTek Galleon

Did you know there’s a VisionTek Galleon? Well there is! The Kings of Pirate101 teamed up with VisionTek Products to make a special offer for a new pirate ship, the VisionTek Galleon.

To qualify for the Pirate101 Game Add-on Offer (that’s the ship), a VisionTek Radeon™ HD 7750, HD 6670, HD 6570, HD 6450 graphics card must be purchased from VisionTek or authorized VisionTek resellers by December 31, 2013 or when the supply of key codes is exhausted. There is a limit of one free key code, per person, per eligible product purchased.

By redeeming the VisionTek provided key code, gamers receive access to downloading a uniquely themed VisionTek pirate ship with superior performance and abilities compared to other game pirate ships; as well as receive 5000 crowns (a $10 cash value) for premium zone access and merchandise purchases.

Talk Like A Pirate Contest Weekend

We wanted to say thanks to everyone who participated in our Talk Like A Pirate Contests. We hope you had fun. We sure did.

For now, it’s time for us to get back to the Skyways. And in particular to Cool Ranch.

Captain Victoria Hobbes went to Los Muertos to speak with Sister Snake near the water fall by the Cave of Echos.

Sister Snake told us: “Three Scars tricked me! After my oldest son transformed into Flying Snake, I gave Three Scars some of my venom to kill that abomination.”

The Captain and her crew are on their way to Big Sky to collect Broken Fangs from Flying Snake in order to appease Sister Snake and win her favor for the Bisons once again.

If you’re flying around Big Sky or the other skyways in Cool Ranch, maybe we’ll see you there! May the wind fill your sails and the sun be at your back.

September 19th was International Talk Like A Pirate Day!!

To celebrate the Royals on Kings Isle have sent out a few prizes for us to give away to Pirates of the Pirate101 Skyways!!
