Scrolling Through Powers and Doubloons During Battles

Occasionally you may get into a battle and need a certain specific power on the battleboard. But it’s not displayed in your list of powers at the bottom of the screen. Oh no, now what?

The same thing can happen with your doubloons. Whither you are in a battle alone or in a Team-up, you can have a list of doubloons, and none of them will help you in the current battle round. Argh, where is that minion doubloon when you need it most!?

Crown Shop – Henchmen

Henchman

Buying Help

Occasionally you may get into a battle that just seems a little too tough to overcome or win. Never fear, you can buy some help through the Crown Shop in the midst of that battle.

Henchmen are short time workers, for a specific battle. When you buy a henchman you have the option of purchasing one of these workers who is on any level available to your Captain.

Henchmen are available in every class of Pirate. You’ll find Musketeer and Witchdoctor henchmen. You’ll find henchmen starting at level 5, up to the highest level available (currently Level 70). These henchmen come with the same powers as any Pirate class Captain of that level. So the powers of your Witchdoctor Level 40 Captain, will be the powers you see assigned to the Witchdoctor Level 40 henchmen. Continue reading

In the Tavern he’ll tell you The other side is hungry and that he feels dark powers moving, at the edges of his sight. He explains this sensation is like a nightmare, and the Old Scratch waits beyond for his doom! He’ll tell you that his magic is no match for this and you must head off to talk to Vadima.  Continue reading

Quest Journal – The Machine

The Battle To Face Kane

Your final battle with Kane takes place in Florenza. But of course it’s not as easy as walking in and facing him one on one. You know Kane isn’t going to play that game.

It’s not an easy battle, but it’s not as difficult as the Moo Manchu Tower either. Still it helps to be prepared and there are a few tips and tricks to winning this final Kane quest.

You don’t have to run around to find this Quest, it’s part of the storyline. You’ll be sent to find the creator of Kane, Gazpaccio. At the end of his quest, Gazpaccio will ask you to take him to the Machine Docks and the Razing Kane quest begins. The first step of the quest is to Escort Gazpaccio to The Machine Docks.

The Machine Docks will look familiar, you’ve had battles in similar areas of the Armada’s big machine. Thankfully you won’t have to fight your way to the dungeon sigil though. You’ve had help with that from an unlikely friend. Phule, the court jester. Phule has discovered that he too will be destroyed by Kane’s grand plan. So he’s decided to help you out.

Quest Journal – The Tower of Moo Manchu

The Tower of Moo Manchu

The Tower Battle of Agony

By far this quest is the hardest in all the spiral, at least as of this writing. There are 10 levels to get through, 9 of which have bad guys. And of course the top-level is where you find the biggest bad guy of all, Moo Manchu and his toughest minions. Most of the minions throughout the tower are level 55 and up. Moo Manchu himself, is level 65.

These are not easy battles and I have yet to get through the entire tower in less than 2 hours. Yes, I said 2 hours. That’s if all the players in the team are level 65 and up. There’s a reason most gamers suggest not taking on the Tower unless you’re over level 60, and some suggest waiting until level 65. More on that later in the team up.

But the gold you can accumulate in the tower, is staggering! With 4 players, you can find 150,000 to 200,000 pieces of gold. Or more, depending on how many Treasure Bath doubloons you and your team can drop during a battle. And then there’s the coveted badges! More on that later.

First, you have to find the quest, as it’s not part of the main quests through MooShu. And there are quests that you’ll have to complete first. Starting with the Manchurian Candidate and ending with defeating Moo Manchu in the Tomb of Kow Cheng.

You can visit our Companion Guide to find a list of all the companions available to each Pirate class within the game. Or return to our Epic Promotion guides for Pirate101 Companions.

Bonnie’s second epic promotion occurs when she is promoted to Level 31. At the end of this promotion quest, she becomes a Fox Sniper. You can learn much more about her abilities and skills at this level from Pirate101 Central.

After you applied training points and she reaches this level, she’ll tell you she needs to speak with you. Let’s go to a nearby Tavern so you can talk.

In the Tavern she’ll tell you “Captain – I’ve just got word from Mary, an old shipmate of mine, that my first Captain, Calico Jake, is looking for me – and you too. The letter says Jake needs to find me straight away for some kind of hush-hush job.”
