Quest Journal – Vernimius Blightbeard

Vernimius Blightbeard

Nightmare Vernimius Blightbeard
In The World of Dreams

In the second release of the World of Dreams, in October 2019, the Royals at KingsIsle introduced Two new Nightmare Boss battles.  These battles are not for the faint of heart!

I believe this release for these bosses are intended for Pirates at level 78 and higher, due to the levels of the bosses. They can appear at level 79 to 82. So these battles are intensely difficult and designed for top-level players and as team up opportunities. This is one of these nightmare challenges.

Like all of the Nightmare battles, you will need an Obsidian Key to enter Blightbeard battle room inside the World of Dreams.

The Nightmare Battle
It’s worth reading the Creature page for Vernimius Blightbeard on Pirate101.Central’s website. He’s going to be TOUGH! This battle is definitely for a full team.

Quest Journal – Nightmare Brass Monkey

Count Brastillo de Brass
– The Brass Monkey

Nightmare Count Brastillo de Brass
In The World of Dreams

In the first release of the World of Dreams, in August 2018, the Royals at KingsIsle introduced Four new Nightmare Boss battles. These battles are intensely difficult and designed for top-level players and as team up opportunities. The Brass Monkey is one of these nightmare challenges.

Like all of the Nightmare battles, you will need an Obsidian Key to enter the Count’s battle room inside the World of Dreams.

Pirates first face off with the Brass Monkey in the Tradewinds Skyway inside The Antilles Maelstrom. You face off with him in order to gain entry into Port Regal, when he’s a Level 26 foe.

The Nightmare Battle
The battle with the Brass Monkey in the World of Dreams, is based on that initial battle.  But don’t think that makes his Obsidian battle a piece of cake. He has some special talents that can easily defeat a Pirate Captain and their crew. Continue reading

Quest Journal – Yuletide Krampus

The Battle of Krampus & The Gold Key

Use your Skeleton Keys to venture into the Krampusgarten and confront the horned demon, Krampus, before he comes wriggling down the chimney to ruin Yuletide on Skull Island!

Krampus came to the Pirate Skyway during the KI Yuletide season of 2018. His Lobby appeared in a giant Yuletide Present on Skull Island, located near Avery’s personal dock.

Entry into the Krampusgarten Lobby is achieved through a sigil. These battles are intended to be difficult, and there are three levels of difficulty inside. So Pirates at various levels, have a chance to defeat Krampus. This isn’t only for the top-level Pirate Captains. Continue reading

Quest Journal – The Machine

The Battle To Face Kane

Your final battle with Kane takes place in Florenza. But of course it’s not as easy as walking in and facing him one on one. You know Kane isn’t going to play that game.

It’s not an easy battle, but it’s not as difficult as the Moo Manchu Tower either. Still it helps to be prepared and there are a few tips and tricks to winning this final Kane quest.

You don’t have to run around to find this Quest, it’s part of the storyline. You’ll be sent to find the creator of Kane, Gazpaccio. At the end of his quest, Gazpaccio will ask you to take him to the Machine Docks and the Razing Kane quest begins. The first step of the quest is to Escort Gazpaccio to The Machine Docks.

The Machine Docks will look familiar, you’ve had battles in similar areas of the Armada’s big machine. Thankfully you won’t have to fight your way to the dungeon sigil though. You’ve had help with that from an unlikely friend. Phule, the court jester. Phule has discovered that he too will be destroyed by Kane’s grand plan. So he’s decided to help you out.

Quest Journal – The Tower of Moo Manchu

The Tower of Moo Manchu

The Tower Battle of Agony

By far this quest is the hardest in all the spiral, at least as of this writing. There are 10 levels to get through, 9 of which have bad guys. And of course the top-level is where you find the biggest bad guy of all, Moo Manchu and his toughest minions. Most of the minions throughout the tower are level 55 and up. Moo Manchu himself, is level 65.

These are not easy battles and I have yet to get through the entire tower in less than 2 hours. Yes, I said 2 hours. That’s if all the players in the team are level 65 and up. There’s a reason most gamers suggest not taking on the Tower unless you’re over level 60, and some suggest waiting until level 65. More on that later in the team up.

But the gold you can accumulate in the tower, is staggering! With 4 players, you can find 150,000 to 200,000 pieces of gold. Or more, depending on how many Treasure Bath doubloons you and your team can drop during a battle. And then there’s the coveted badges! More on that later.

First, you have to find the quest, as it’s not part of the main quests through MooShu. And there are quests that you’ll have to complete first. Starting with the Manchurian Candidate and ending with defeating Moo Manchu in the Tomb of Kow Cheng.
