Using Your Backpack, Bank and Shared Bank

You have three areas to store you loot as you travel through the spiral. When you win a battle or find a chest, the loot you win will first be stored in your backpack.

The more you battle, the more loot you’ll pick up until your backpack can’t hold any more items. If you don’t move those items, don’t worry, you won’t lose you booty. It will automatically be moved to your Captain’s Bank.

You can access your bank, in your Captain’s dorm room, house or from you Captain’s Cabin.

I’ve received items from a battle that I haven’t been able to use yet. I used to put these things in my Bank back at the house so I didn’t accidentally sell them. Now, you’ll find a new button at the bottom of your backpack to protect items you want to keep safe from being sold. Continue reading →

Where and How To Buy and Sell Your Gear

You’ve had your first battles and earned a few rewards. Or your backpack is full and you need to sell some loot. Or maybe you want to purchase some new gear, or training tomes for your crew and you need some gold. Whatever your reason, it’s time to sell some of the loot you’ve collected.

There are various ways to sell items. At the Bazaar, at a gear Vendor, or to a Free Trader. But hold up before you go hitting that Sell button. Are you sure your selling that item in the right place? Are you getting the best price for your loot? You mean you didn’t know there was a difference? Yep, there is.

Not all place will give you the same amount of gold for your loot. Like any merchandizing business, there’s a supply and demand component to the Pirate Spiral. And while it’s might be easy and convenient to sell all your loot in one place, you’re not doing yourself any favors by dumping your backpack in one place. It’s worth it to shop around a little. Placing Teleporters At Home

Porters are a great item to have on your island home. Especially if you have one of the bigger islands. You can place a porter near your dock, and link its travel location near your front door. When you arrive with a new item to place in your house, you can run into the porter and you’ll automatically be ported to your house. It’s a great idea!

So here’s how it works. Firstly you should know that teleporters are one way travel gateways. You’ll be able to run into the porter wheel and teleport to another location. But you won’t be able to go back as there won’t be another porter wheel to enter.

Additionally placing the porter is a two step to this process. You will need to place the porter and then go to where you want it to send you to and mark that spot. Continue reading →
