Occasionally you may get into a battle that just seems a little too tough to overcome or win. Never fear, you can buy some help through the Crown Shop in the midst of that battle.
Henchmen are short time workers, for a specific battle. When you buy a henchman you have the option of purchasing one of these workers who is on any level available to your Captain.
Henchmen are available in every class of Pirate. You’ll find Musketeer and Witchdoctor henchmen. You’ll find henchmen starting at level 5, up to the highest level available (currently Level 70). These henchmen come with the same powers as any Pirate class Captain of that level. So the powers of your Witchdoctor Level 40 Captain, will be the powers you see assigned to the Witchdoctor Level 40 henchmen. Continue reading →
What’s New & Improved Summer 2018 Updates for A Pirate’s Portal
After 4 years of rarely posting on our Pirate Blog, we’ve made some new posts and updated some old articles as we return to the Pirating world. Last time we made any significant game updates, Marleybone, Aquila and Florenza hadn’t even been added to the spiral yet! So we not only needed to make some updates, we also wanted to share some new information too. Here’s what we’d like to highlight.
We’ve added a couple of Quest Journals for epic battles:
While you’re sailing through the spiral, you will come across different skyways within a single world. For instance, in Skull Island you’ll travel through the Skull Island skyway, but you’ll also visit the Tradewinds Skyway, Flotsom Skyway and the Port Regal Skyway. These skyways are all within the world of Skull Island.
During your travels you will come across Windstones that provide you with a key to activate Stormgates. Windstones were first discovered by the people of Valencia, who used them to travel through the otherwise impassable Stormgates. They are powerful crystals that come in a variety of colors. And they are required to enter the Stormgates.
Stormgates are openings between worlds. These areas also have windlanes that take you from the gate of one world to another. And you’ll find beasties and enemy ships, along with a few treasures in these areas as well.
You’ll also notice a few world bubbles floating around in the sky of these stargates. Some you are probably familiar with. But some you spy, might be new worlds that have not yet been released by the Royals at KingsIsle.
As you’re traveling around the Stargates, don’t forget to look around. You might see something that gives you hint of what might be coming soon in the Spiral. Here’s a chart for the worlds I’ve seen floating in the stargates. Some I know and some I haven’t the faintest clue. Maybe you’ve seen these too. Continue reading →
The royals at KingsIsle have closed the Test Realm and moved the updates to the Live Realm! Check out what’s new in this August 2018 update. Then take time to visit old friends and discover new battles!
Or you can check out our Update Observations from the Test Realm. Unfortunately we didn’t have the time to test out all the new updates. But we got close. I have made updates to these Observations since the updates have gone live.
I suggest you start with the new Quest Finder! Then trek around the spiral to find the Bosses who are holding onto the new Skeleton Keys. And if you’re a level 70 pirate, visit with Old Scratch in a Tavern to start your promotion quest that leads to The World of Dreams!
The Quest Finder is excellent for Pirates who have been playing the game from the very beginning. For instance, my Level 70 Witchdoctor had never completed the Lizard City quest in Blood Shoals. That area was added to Skull Island when I was battling in Cool Ranch. Of course my other Pirate Captains have been through Lizard City, but I some how missed running that quest with highest and oldest Pirate Captain. Who knew!
A good idea for your higher level Pirates is to run through each world and find any quests that were added to those realms that you might have missed.
Your final battle with Kane takes place in Florenza. But of course it’s not as easy as walking in and facing him one on one. You know Kane isn’t going to play that game.
It’s not an easy battle, but it’s not as difficult as the Moo Manchu Tower either. Still it helps to be prepared and there are a few tips and tricks to winning this final Kane quest.
You don’t have to run around to find this Quest, it’s part of the storyline. You’ll be sent to find the creator of Kane, Gazpaccio. At the end of his quest, Gazpaccio will ask you to take him to the Machine Docks and the Razing Kane quest begins. The first step of the quest is to Escort Gazpaccio to The Machine Docks.
The Machine Docks will look familiar, you’ve had battles in similar areas of the Armada’s big machine. Thankfully you won’t have to fight your way to the dungeon sigil though. You’ve had help with that from an unlikely friend. Phule, the court jester. Phule has discovered that he too will be destroyed by Kane’s grand plan. So he’s decided to help you out.
