Quest Journal – Nightmare Brass Monkey

Count Brastillo de Brass
– The Brass Monkey

Nightmare Count Brastillo de Brass
In The World of Dreams

In the first release of the World of Dreams, in August 2018, the Royals at KingsIsle introduced Four new Nightmare Boss battles. These battles are intensely difficult and designed for top-level players and as team up opportunities. The Brass Monkey is one of these nightmare challenges.

Like all of the Nightmare battles, you will need an Obsidian Key to enter the Count’s battle room inside the World of Dreams.

Pirates first face off with the Brass Monkey in the Tradewinds Skyway inside The Antilles Maelstrom. You face off with him in order to gain entry into Port Regal, when he’s a Level 26 foe.

The Nightmare Battle
The battle with the Brass Monkey in the World of Dreams, is based on that initial battle.  But don’t think that makes his Obsidian battle a piece of cake. He has some special talents that can easily defeat a Pirate Captain and their crew. Continue reading

Quest Journal – Nightmare Captain Blood

Nightmare Captain Blood
In the World of Dreams

In the first release of the World of Dreams, in August 2018, the Royals at KingsIsle introduced Four new Nightmare Boss battles. These battles are intensely difficult and designed for top-level players and as team up opportunities.  Captain Blood is one of these nightmare challenges.

Pirates first face off with Captain Blood in the Haunted Skyway on the isle of Miranda. During one of my favorite puppet shows, the Dead Man’s Hand, Pirates learn about Blood’s last request from his death bed, to play a hand of poker with Death. Having a gambling problem, Death agrees.

In the final hand, Blood raises the stakes and wagers his immortal soul. Death of course agrees, that’s when Blood cheats. Death placed his cards on the table, but Blood left the table and never came back to play his hand. Now the game is in a state of Limbo. The result is, it’s your quest is to find all the cards dealt to Blood, along with the bones of his lost hand. With his own hand, you will be able to lay the cards on the table at the Old Sippin’ Saloon in Miranda and send Blood into Death’s domain. Of course once you have played Blood’s hand, you must defeat Blood before his soul can be sent on its way with Death. Continue reading

The World Of Dreams

Obsidian Door at the Scrimshaw Docks

The Realm of the Nightmare Bosses

This world isn’t like going from Skull Island to Marleybone. It’s more like a dungeon that you can enter, exit and come back to over and over again.

Introduced in August 2018, The World of Dreams is a place of Nightmares. Inside this dungeon are battle rooms where you will face off against the toughest of opponents. It’s not for the weak at heart! And these Nightmare Bosses, may seem familiar, but these are battles unlike anything you’ve faced before!

The World of Dreams begins at the Obsidian Door on the Scrimshaw Docks. Once you’ve docked, cross the bridge and run to the right of the ships toward the tavern. Keep going and head over to the Warehouses. At the end of the row of the buildings, you’ll find the Obsidian doorway and sigil.  Continue reading
