The Pirate101 Test Realm is Offline

We’re Closed … For the Weekend

I was having a good time in the Test Realm today. And I was looking forward to sailing to each world and finding the new quests that have been added this evening and through the weekend.

But alas, the Scurvy Dogs who cater to the Royals in KingsIsle have been chained to their grindstones and put back to work again.

Pirate Updates In The Test Realm

As promised by the Royals at KingsIsle, the Pirate 101 Test Realm is back open for players who would like to see and test the new updates to the spiral.

How Does It Work
If you’ve been to the test realm before, login as usual and the updates will be applied, just like when you log into the live game. Be patient while the new updates are added! Continue reading →

The Pirate101 Test Realm is Offline

I Think We Broke It

If you logged in to the Test Realm this morning, you received this message:

The Test Realm is currently offline for the weekend and will be back up sometime on Tuesday. Thank you for testing the game, Pirates, and see you when the Test Realm comes back online!

For those of you new to the Test Realm, the whole purpose is for players to help KI put the new updates through their paces and find the issues BEFORE they are released in the Live Realm. We as players do something for KI and in return we get the chance to see what’s coming before the release. That’s the fun part!

But that also means we Pirates can stress the system so much, the Royals at KI may need to take the test realm offline to make corrections. It’s thankless job, but I’m sure the programmers will make their tweaks as quickly as possible and get us back online soon.

Getting Started In The Test Realm
August 31, 2018 – Updated September 7, 2018

Entering the test realm, you’ll notice that your entire crew will need to be trained. One thing that doesn’t transfer between the Live realm and the Test Realm are the talent settings for your crew. So be for warned. The first thing you’ll need to do once you enter, is to set the talents for your Crew members.

If you’re a level 70 Captain, that’s a lot of crew folks. You might want to simply set your first two or three rows, on your first crew page and leave it at that. But one member you’ll need to set for sure, is Old Scratch. Continue reading →

Yesterday, August 30, 2018, KingsIsle announced the Pirate 101 Test Realm is open for players who would like to see and test out over 1,000 updates to the game. Join players in testing a new promotion quest, quest finder feature, new skeleton key bosses, more inventory room, new pet names and many more updates. Pet Sparring Party In The Test Realm

Come join us for a party in the Test Realm tonight at 5:30 pm US Central as we test the new matching system. We need your support, and it’s going to be a lot of fun as well!

Who: All players who can download and play on the Pirate101 Test Realm. Download details here.

Where: In Circus Maximus on the Pirate101 Test Realm.
When: 5:30pm US Central tonight (Friday, May 2, 2014)

Activities:

Please come prepared to spar with other players’ pets! Try to come early and participate in 5 practice matches first as you must participate in 5 practice matches before you can spar with other players.
