Companion Promotion – Bonnie Anne #2

Bonnie Anne – Fox Sniper

The Fox Sniper –

Near the beginning of the game, every Pirate meets up with Bonnie Anne. She’s a great Fox and good Musketeer who lends a helping hand from the start of your questing through the spiral.

As you level up your companions they will occasionally reach epic promotion opportunities. When you first meet Bonnie Anne she is a Fox Musketeer. Bonnie’s second epic promotion occurs when she is promoted to Level 31. At the end of this promotion quest, she becomes a Fox Sniper. You can learn much more about her abilities and skills at this level from Pirate101 Central.

After you applied training points and she reaches this level, she’ll tell you she needs to speak with you. Let’s go to a nearby Tavern so you can talk.

In the Tavern she’ll tell you “Captain – I’ve just got word from Mary, an old shipmate of mine, that my first Captain, Calico Jake, is looking for me – and you too. The letter says Jake needs to find me straight away for some kind of hush-hush job.”

This quest will require you to have access to Port Regal.

Companion Promotion – Ratbeard #2

The Buccaneer Rat Companion

As your Pirate works through the Gunn’s Gold quest in the Skull Island Skyway, you’ll be trying to catch Ratbeard who will become a member of your crew at the end of the quest.

As you level up your companions they will occasionally reach epic promotion opportunities. When you first meet Ratbeard he is a Rat Officer. Ratbeard’s second epic promotion occurs when he is promoted to Level 28 when, if successful, he will become a Rat Captain. You can learn much more about his abilities and skills from Pirate101 Central.

After you applied training points and he reaches this level, he’ll tell you he needs to speak with you. “Cap’n, I recon I know who killed me old crew. I’ll tell ye in a Tavern cellar. ” Head on over to the nearest tavern and find out what he’s figured out.

In the Tavern he’ll tell you, the Frog who made that Potion he used to knock out his crew is the only one who could have made it a poison. Then Ratbeard tells you he knows “just where I can find him. We needs to go to Port Regal.”

So obviously his quest will require you to have access to Port Regal.

The Shipwrecked Dog Pirate Companion

If your parents were Shipwrecked, you’re old family friend rescued at the Presidio will be Lucky Jack Russell. He helps you recover the Spice and deliver it to the Frog Father. Then with the Frog Father’s blessing, he becomes a member of your crew. Lucky Jack is one of my favorite companions, so I’m excited it’s time for his first promotion.

When you first meet Lucky Jack he is a Dog Pirate. You can learn much more about his abilities and skills from Pirate101 Central.

As you level up your companions they will occasionally reach epic promotion opportunities. Lucky Jack receives his first epic promotion when he is promoted to Level 21.

After you applied training points and he reaches this level, he’ll tell you he needs to speak with you. “Captain, I’ve just got a letter I think you should see. Let’s discuss this in a Tavern, shall we?”

The Adventures Of The Scurvy Dogs

There are two parts to Cool Ranch the way I see it. Both are pretty long and involved. Cool Ranch – Part I ends when you take on the Duck of Death and defeat him. That gets you closer to a missing map piece held by Captain Blood. But for now you’ll be sent back to Skull Island for a bit where you’ll work on getting to Port Regal.

As an FYI, you still need to go through the Tumbleweed and Haunted Skyways in Cool Ranch. But you haven’t received a quest to do that yet. Don’t worry. You’ll get there.

In Cool Ranch you spoke to Don Rafael who told you he had information. But he couldn’t give it to you until you completed a favor fwor him. To reunite his adopted son Don Rodrigo with Rafael’s daughter Carolina. You know her as Mustang Sally. It’s been a long time since you’ve seen Sally in Flotsam however. So you’ll need to head back to the Flotsam Skyway and talk to One-Eyed Jack. Continue reading →

Companion Promotion – Fin Dorsal

Fin Dorsal-Cutthroat Pirate Companion

As you work your way through quests in the game, you’ll be able to unlock new companions in the Crown Shop. The Badge “Best Chum” unlocks the purchase availability for your own version of Fin Dorsal. I love him. He’s my favorite character in the game.

When you first meet Fin he is a Cutthroat Pirate. You can learn much more about his abilities and skills from Pirate101 Central.

As you level up your companions they will occasionally reach epic promotion opportunities. Those companions that you purchase from the Crown Shop are easy to promote, you simply have to pay a promotion fee with Gold. Fin’s first epic promotion occurs when he is promoted to Level 24.

The Rat Brigand Companion

If your parents were lost in a Storm, the Old Family Friend who served with your Parents long ago is Milo Graytail. He becomes part of your crew with the FrogFather’s blessing and will help you guide your new ship that you pick up in Jonah Town.
